HYBRID Schematic :
Hybrid systems use a “High / Low” dual pump system driven by a variable speed electric motor.   The power is managed using feedback from the on–board pressure transducer and motor encoder.  The pumps are combined at low pressure for rapid advance and then isolated during high pressure modes to conserve energy.  This is done using the on-board solenoid switching valve to combine or isolate the pump outputs.

Pressure / Flow Management Curve
The HYBRID control system automatically adjusts the pump flow according to the system pressure.  Once system pressure exceeds 1,050psi (7mpa) the pumps are automatically isolated diverting the high volume pump to tank and keeping the low volume, high pressure pump on-line to produce the required clamping pressure.  Once the desired clamping pressure is met the controller will reduce the electric motor speed to 200-300 rpm.  This will maintain clamping pressure and divert a small amount of flow over the on-board air/over heat exchanger.
